The First International Gnostic Retreat, held from June 21st through June 24th, 2007 in the woodlands of New Jersey (USA), was by all accounts a successful and beneficial event. Fifty students attended from many parts of the world (Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, Canada, England, Panama, Colombia, and thirteen states of the United States).

It was a time where I could meet with experienced students and instructors who share the same longings and aspirations for revolutionary inner change. I have probably learned more in the four days at the retreat than I have learned in a year of study, because what I have been missing is the personal connection with instructors who could answer my most profound and serious questions. The retreat was a positive event in numerous ways, and I recommend attending one to anybody who gets the chance. More than once I asked, "Why can't the world be like this?" People of all backgrounds and walks of life joined together harmoniously, with no pretensions. The barriers of race, age, and money often imposed by society didn't seem to apply to us.
